Hello? Working People?
Michelle Bachman and the Republican Tea Party People, believe that the minimum wage is TOO HIGH!
I am a life long Republican, who has switched parties to become a Democrat, because I don’t like the greedy Tea Party people who now control the Republican party.
If you agree with these Tea Party people, that the minimum wage should be LOWER rather than higher, vote for them.
But, if you believe that people who work full time, 40 hours per week, should be paid enough to provide a dignified living for their families, without having to beg or accept welfare, then you MIGHT want to consider bailing OUT of the Republican party as I did, and voting for some Democrats who support higher wages for working people.
If the minimum wage had kept up with the INCREASES for the salaries of CEO’s of American corporations since 1980, the lowest paid workers in America would NOW be making $23.50 per hour which will feed and house a family, instead of $7.50 per hour which will NOT feed and house a family.
When the Republicans tell you that they want to lower the minimum wage, because that will HELP working people, they are lying to you, and you don’t need to be a rocket scientist to figure that out. They want to lower the minimum wage, because that helps them live like Royalty, while working people are NOT able to pay our utility bills and eat healthy food.
Vote your own self interest, vote what is best for YOUR family, NOT what is best for Mitt Romney’s family. Vote DEMOCRATIC.
The Democratic party is not perfect, but at least they are not going to LOWER the minimum wage for the poorest among us, as the Republicans want to do. And, a lower minimum wage lowers EVERYBODY’s wages, all along the line, including YOURS!
Stand up, fight back, vote Democratic. So, saith Ron.
