State of Indiana offers $10 million toward new New Harmony Bridge.

For me this raises as many questions as it answers. 1.Will Illinois offer to kick in a like amount? 2. Who will assume ownership of the bridge after the money is spent? Will it be the town of New Harmony? Posey County? White County? A partnership of all three? A privately owned corporation as before? Joe Straw and David Campbell?

Whether I think this is a good think or not, depends heavily upon the details. I don’t feel that ANY governmental entity smaller than at the county level should assume much (if any) debt on this.
