Welcome to New Harmony Watch. I live in New Harmony, Indiana. The picture above was taken a couple of blocks from my home here in New Harmony by my wife Suzanne M. Nesler. My idea for this web site is to examine the wide world from the perspective of the tiny (and very unusual) little town of New Harmony, Indiana. And, at the same time, to examine the town of New Harmony from the perspective of the wider world. Care to join me in a little philosophic reflection?

I hope readers will; enjoy using my new web site, and I will try to post opinions on a wide variety of topics ranging from local and national politics to art, poetry, literature and right on through to poker, fishing, morel mushrooms, gardening, foraging, health, natural foods and garage sales. And, some miscelaneous stuff, too!
I also intend to showcase the photograpic work of my wife Suzanne M. Nesler. She has a pure soul, and she sees beauty and meaning in everyday scenes that others such as me overlook, until she points them out in her photos. I hope you will enjoy her work.
There is a message board linked to the web site, and I hope you will use it. Free thought and original ideas are welcome. I don’t care what your political views are, you are welcome on my message boards, as long as you don’t do anything there to get me sued or arrested or do anything hurtful to private citizens.
Here, very simply are my own political beliefs; I am pro democracy and pro human rights for all persons. I am against war, racism and corporate control of government. I believe that all government should be of, by and for the people, and I believe that Monsanto, Bank of America and other corporations are NOT people. I support the Democratic Party, President Obama and the Occupy movement.
Go to the message boards, and tell me who and what you support, and tell me WHY.
